What you'll be doing The role of the Clinical Psychologist/ Psychologist includes provision of independent assessment using empirically validated methods to assist with diagnostic formulation and treatment planning. All Psychologists employed within the CCLHD are members of the Psychology Department.The Department monitors adherence to the professional code of conduct, promotes excellence and provides opportunities for ongoing professional development. Completion of a four year honours degree in Psychology from a recognised tertiary institution and full registration with the Psychology Board of AHPRA (for all psychologists). For the position of clinical psychologist, an accredited Masters degree, or higher, in Clinical Psychology is required. Other AHPRA endorsed area of clinical practice in Psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position may be considered. [Postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience. Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice. Computer literacy, and adequate teaching/ research skills. Current Australian Driver Licence. Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute. Need more information?
