THE JOB:

Sportsbet takes Responsible Gambling very seriously. As a Responsible Gambling Officer, you will be the main point of contact for our customers who show signs of problem gambling in our Customer Operations Department. You will provide support, guidance and advice directly to customers who require it. You will take leadership and work closely with various departments to develop tools and processes to predict, prevent and minimise problem gambling wherever possible.

IS THIS ROLE FOR ME?

We are looking for someone with the ability to pick up new skills and concepts quickly. You'll be handling sensitive and confidential data so discretion is imperative. Along with having great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work with a variety of different stakeholders, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

•Experience or qualification in counselling/social work will be considered highly

•High level of computer skills comfortable with using multiple applications in consort to achieve goals a must

•Ability to handle difficult and challenging conversations

•Willingness to learn.

•Able to simplify complex problems, process projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically. Able to identify casual relationships and construct frameworks for problem solving and / or development.

•Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to embrace constant change

•Able to identify causal relationships and construct frameworks, for decision making and problem solving. Transforms ideas/proposals into practical reality.

• Adapts and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups. Is able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue, adapt an approach as the requirements of a situation change, and to change or easily accept changes in one's own organisation or job requirements.

•Influencer, Leadership qualities.
