Alexandra District Health (ADH) is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified nursing professional for this outstanding career opportunity. ADH provides a range of acute and community-based services and is situated between Yea and Eildon within the Shire of Murrindindi approximately 125 km North East of Melbourne.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Clinical Services provides strategic direction to ADH’s clinical services and primary health streams. The role is accountable for the maintenance of professional standards and professional development of nursing staff ensuring best practice guidelines and patient centred care philosophies are followed. As a key member of the Executive team, the DCS will ensure the culture and performance of staff in clinical areas are consistent with organizational values and expectations.
To be considered for this senior role you will have:
- Current registration with NMBA through AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or Health Service Administration (or similar)
- Substantial knowledge of, and experience in, public sector health services at a senior management level, including health administration, hospital planning and organisation, financial management and a broad understanding of community health
- Management experience across a range of clinical and community programs, strategic management and clinical leadership experience in a rural or regional health service
