IHMS has contract position available for experienced Medical Officer to work in our facility at the Yongah Hill Immigration Centre in Northam.
MEDICAL OFFICER
The Medical Officer is a key member in the delivery of GP services to people in Immigration Detention in our facility at the Yongah Hill Immigration Centre in Northam. The Medical Officer must possess a strong mix of clinical expertise, people and stakeholder management skills.
We are currently recruiting for a GP's on a FIFO basis. We have multiple contracts available from July 15th 2018 onwards. Minimum contract length is 4 weeks.
To be considered you must have:
- Full unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner;
- Primary Care experience essential with experience in rural/remote setting and/or emergency care highly desirable, alternatively we will consider a medical officer with an interest in remote work;
- Strong leadership, business acumen and communication skills.
- Live in Australia or New Zealand and have work rights in Australia
THE BENEFITS
The medical officer will be offered a great hourly rate with allowances and bonus on completion of contract.
This position is a 38 hour working week with an on-call after hours component that is shared between the medical officers.
You will be supported by other health and medical professionals to provide primary health care.
*This position is subject to a current police check and requirement that medical officers hold a basic life support certificate or equivalent
