Physiotherapist Part Time or Full Time

Work in a team aiming to achieve optimal patient care and to help empower patients to exercise and self-manage.

Physio Gym™ physiotherapy is located in Petersham (Inner West, Sydney) we are seeking a fit, healthy and motivated physiotherapist to join our growing practice. The position will be either Part Time (min 20 Hours) or Full Time with a well-established client base. Physio Gym is a practice run and directed by a physiotherapist with the philosophy to empower the patient through a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription. We have a fully equipped gym attached to the practice including ample floor space for patient assessment and training.

Physio Gym offers the successful new physiotherapist the opportunity to work in an experienced environment with an APA titled Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

Our clientele is varied and we see patients of all ages with all types of injuries. We treat a range of patients with: lower Back and Neck Pain, sporting injuries, MND, Stroke and, diabetes.

This position would ideally suit individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and who also succeed well in an Autonomous setting.

• Digital Exercise prescription in gym environment
• Supervised exercise training.
• McKenzie method
• Mulligans Method
• Pilates 
• Biophyscosocial Diagnosis and Management Approach
• NOI – graded motor imagery

Essential Criteria:

• Current physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
• Degree in physiotherapy
• 2 years experience
• Current professional indemnity insurance
• WorkCover provisional or approved treatment provider
• Keen interest in professional development
• Enthusiastic and conscientious
• Excellent time management
• Willing to be trained in lifestyle disease management
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to receive Constructive feedback
• Excellent communication skills
• Current First aid certificate
• Basic manual therapy and exercise prescriptions skills
• Must be available to work Weekends 
• Core Business hours
  • Monday - Friday 6:00am - 8:00pm
  • Saturday 7:00am - 4:00pm

Non-Essential Criteria:

• Experience in exercise prescription
• Pilates training
