ABOUT THE POSITION AT MATER GLADSTONE
As the leading private, not for profit hospital and aged care group in Central Queensland, Mercy Health & Aged Care is seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse – Oncology for our facility in Gladstone. This position is being offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.
The Oncology Day Treatment Unit has 5 treatment chairs and is co-located on the general medical/ surgical ward. The Unit is open Monday to Friday and is closed public holidays and weekends. The Oncology Unit is a nurse led unit, specialising in chemotherapy treatments but also haematology treatments and other infusions.
The Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for providing patient-centred nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals and significant other to ensure safe, efficient, and effective management of the patient within the unit.
In the role, you will enjoy being part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing compassionate and high levels of patient care. You will be enthusiastic and able to show initiative. You will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude, have the ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
Salary range: $34.01 - $43.70 per hour (commensurate with level of experience)
As the successful candidate for this role you will:
- Have registration as an Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Have 3 years experience in oncology nursing.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
