Job Scope:
- Co-manage and work at our new natural health and beauty retail store in Oxford St, Paddington
- Serve practitioners, trade and retail customers by providing our range of over 4,000 natural health and beauty products in a retail store environment. Full understanding of practitioner and retail products essential.
- 5 days per week including one day on the weekend.
Job Responsibilities:
- Day to day hands on operation of re-stocking, pricing and merchandising the store shelves and serving customers (re-ordering of sold stock is completely automated).
- Cash and eftpos handling and security keeping variances within company policy.
- When required, assist in the recruitment process and train new employees on how to sell and merchandise natural health and beauty products.
- Together with management, plan and execute expansion stages which include a coffee and smoothie bar, organic fruit & veggie section and a Natural healing centre.
- Achieve financial objectives by working in line with a sales and wages budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers.
- Monitor and maintain automatic ordering levels to ensure adequate stock is received for merchandising requirements.
- Follow promotional pricing policies by reviewing head office promotional activities; determining additional store level sales promotion required; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
- Jointly, determine store marketing strategy identifying local community and like minded industry collaboration opportunities to boost sales and customer counts.
Skills and Qualifications:
Natural health retail management experience, familiar with tracking budget expenses, pricing, staffing, results driven, excellent verbal communication. Minimum two years retail store management experience.
Due to the large percentage of practitioner trade clientele, Naturopathic or similar Natural Health therapies qualifications and experience also required.

GBN is also the exclusive importer or agent for a selected handful of key brands for which we handle the promotion within Australia. We operate two trade stores, one at the warehouse/office in Lane Cove West and the other in the new Oxford St, Paddington location.
