About General Medicine at Monash Medical Centre – Wards 41 and 42

Ward 41, and the newly established Ward 42 provide holistic care to General Medicine patients.  Ward 41 can accommodate up to 38 patients, with Ward 42 accommodating up to 40 patients.  Patients are admitted to the acute setting  with a wide variety of acute medical problems through until their discharge home, or to another facility including aged care services.

About the Role

We are looking experienced Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about their career and growing their skills and knowledge around General Medicine and providing patient centred care at its best.  With your caring and engaging manner you will be required to work within a team that communicate and work together in this faced paced, demanding environment.

• Positions available across both wards – 41 and 42
• 7 day a week rotational roster.
• Delivery of a high standard of patient care and demonstrating the ability to escalate care of the deteriorating patient
• Mentoring  and preceptoring graduates and new staff to the wards
• Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking
• Support and education provided to expand Nursing skill and knowledge.  

About you

You are an experience Registered or Enrolled Nurse with a passion for this area of Nursing. You are able to demonstrate the key requirements of the roles and ideally possess and practice in line with the Monash health iCARE values.

What you need

• A minimum 12 months experience post qualification ideally in the area of General medical
• Current AHPRA registration
• Relevant Working Visa
