Fixed Term - Part Time x 3
(64 hrs per fortnight) 4th February 2019 until 3rd February 2020
Ballarat Health Services offers a comprehensive range of services in acute, subacute, extended care and psychiatric care. It is a major teaching and research health organisation, which services the whole Western Victoria, from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian border. The service actively supports nursing education and provides a range of postgraduate programs (affiliated with various universities) in addition to the Graduate Transition Year.
Maternity Services at Ballarat Health Services provide care to the Ballarat community and surrounding areas, birthing more than 1400 babies per year. The Maternity Unit has 16 beds ante/post natal ward, a 5 bed birthing suite and has a 10 cot level 2 Special Care Nursery.
The aim of this 12 month Post Graduate Midwifery Program is to provide a supportive learning environment and guidance to the newly registered midwife with opportunities to develop confidence, skills and competence in caring for women throughout their pregnancy, birth, postnatal period and also infants requiring special care.
The applicant must have completed their Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery in the last 18 months.
