About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Care Manager at our Macquarie Lodge Aged Care Plus Centre, a warm and inviting home to 130 residents, located in Arncliffe. 

In the role of Care Manager, you will be an advocate for clinical excellence and be willing to ensure a homely and loving environment by providing care with compassion, integrity and dignity.  Reporting to and working closely with an experienced Centre Manager, this position is an oppoprtunity to demonstrate and develop your people management skills in a senior clinical role.  Supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team including 2 Clinical Coordinators as well as Registered Nurses and Care Service Employees, you will ensure that residents receive best care and quality of life.  The position will also hold accountability for, and consideration of the budgetary, continuous improvement, statuary requirements and human resource needs of the organisation.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote, support and model the values and ethos of The Salvation Army and to facilitate pastoral support where required
  • Previous experience in a clinical management role, Aged Care experience preferred
  • Understanding of Aged Care legislation and industry accreditation standards 
  • Knowledge of ACFI and experience in optimising funding relvant to resident care needs
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders including residents, families and staff as well as external 
  • Hands on leader with a “can do” attitude - willingness and ability to lead by example
  • Passionate, resilient and proactive leader
  • Demonstrated excellent clinical expertise - be an advocate for clinical excellence and promote continuous improvement
  • Ability to be multi-task, work under pressure and be part of a team
  • Current unrestricted registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
