About the opportunity 


The research program in the ACRF Image-X Institute is led by Professor Paul Keall who develops new medical devices and treatment options in radiotherapy. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the Australian MRI-Linac Program. You will have the opportunity for clinical trial involvement, algorithm development and data analysis for a project that will go to clinical trial in 2018. 

 

You will benefit from a strong mentoring environment; lead and be part of high quality and high impact publications and intellectual property; and attend international conferences.  You will be engaged in a global scientific network working closely with industry to develop new products that improve our ability to image and treat human disease. 

 

About you

  • an awarded or near completed Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (Medical Physics, Science, Computer Science or Engineering)
  • demonstrated experience or knowledge in the following:
 

  • working with a variety of experts in different fields (e.g. radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, physicists, engineers, etc)
  • software development in C#, C++ or Java.
  • mathematical algorithm development (in physics, engineering, computer science, etc)
  • working with MRI/X-ray equipment or linear accelerators
 

  • a publication track record or research trajectory that places emphasis on quality publications
  • demonstration of scientific creativity and innovation/discovery
  • outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in a team environment.
