The opportunity: Field Educator & Sales Representative / Sydney (Northern Beaches / Central Coast Newcastle)

As the Field Trainer & Sales Representative you will be responsible for a designated territory where you will plan, implement and maintain an effective call cycle.Through engaging education on our product range, you will raise brand awareness of the Life-Space brand, increase recommendation of key retail stakeholders which will contribute to the growth of sales, market share and distribution gains. Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager you will build strong relationships with key accounts and banner groups to optimize promotional activities, share of shelf agreement (POG) and achieve education and sales targets. As the territory manager you will also use data and insights to identify new accounts, potential for growth and account rationalisation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams you will also be responsible for the successful launch and distribution of New Product Development. Domestic travel may be required to attend regional events, conferences and industry expos. International travel may also be required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an effective and efficient call cycle within your designated territory to ensure customer and business needs are met.
  • Plan an effective and efficient regional territory cycle plan ensuring ROI
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual education and sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key retail stakeholders and influencers to increase awareness of the Life Space brand to achieve growth
  • Deliver a high level of probiotic and microbiome education to retail partners to assist them in promoting and recommending all Life-Space products in store
  • Organise and deliver specific group education events
  • Identify new accounts and areas of growth within your territory to increase distribution, market share and sales of the Life- Space brand
  • Drive the compliance of key account agreements and initiatives to ensure Life-Space is represented with share of shelf in line with Planogram
  • Drive and optimise the promotional activities of all Pharmacy Banners both above and below the line to maximise return on investment and business outcomes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the territory, banners & buying groups to maximise growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with other territory managers to optimise business outcomes within the State and Nationally.
  • Participate regularly in national teleconferences, meetings and conferences.
  • Attend and represent the Life-Space brand at industry expos and conferences when required
  • Maintain account database through Pepperi (Software)
  • Participate in internal sales training and product related education sessions when required
  • Provide feedback relating to the Life Space brand as well as category and competitor insights to the business
  • Manage expenses and resources as per company policy
  • Ensure that leads, requests for information and customer queries are followed through

Skills and Experience needed:

  • Formal qualification in Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy / Nutritionist) essential
  • 2+yrs experience in the pharmacy channel/wholesaler channel/FMCG
  • Current drivers licence is essential
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data
  • Confident Presenter
  • High level communication skills both written and verbally
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing within the healthcare sector
  • Experience in negotiation and influencing key stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmacy channel and banner group hierarchy
  • Experience in VMS category an or pharmacy channel
  • Knowledge of wholesaler / distributor channels
  • Knowledge of market trends and category insights in the VMS category
  • Understanding of the export opportunities and dynamics within the VMS category
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities
  • Working in cross functional teams and business units
  • Experience analysing market data (IMS, Aztec), consumer insights and reports
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present with confidence to influence outcomes both one on one and to a group
