Meath Care (Inc.) is an aged care service provider operating residential care and retirement village accommodation. Meath Care Kingsley offers accommodation for 129 residents which includes an area dedicated to those suffering from dementia.

The role:
We currently have a full-time opportunity available for a self-motivated and committed Registered Nurse to join our facility in Kingsley in a Float Capacity. This means that this role will be guaranteed 76 hours a fortnight but each fortnightly roster could be different to provide the required coverage to the centre. This position would not suit a morning shift only availability as most of the shifts would be in the afternoon or evening and we need someone with a lot of availability/flexibility to fill this position.
Requirements of the role:
- Proven ability to lead a team and foster teamwork;
- Ability to provide education, support and mentoring to our care teams;
- Demonstrate effectiveness at managing their own responsibilities and prioritising work load;
- Ability to delegate effectively;
- Able to identify, resolve and manage problems and conflicts;
- Sound understanding of ACFI, Aged Care Act and accreditation requirements;
- Proven clinical knowledge and experience in aged care is essential;
- Strong working knowledge of dementia diseases;
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service;
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Computer literacy;
- A current National Police Certificate (no older than six months), a current AHPRA registration and a current visa to work within Australia are essential requirements for this position.
