A Private hospital located in North Queensland is on the lookout for an experienced individual to lead their friendly and compassionate Palliative/ Oncology unit.
  
About:   
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective management of the day-to-day operations of the Palliative/Oncology Unit.

This position has a predominantly clinical focus and is managing a team of 12.

Through education and experience, the NUM will be accountable for the effective leadership and management of human and other resources within the Palliative/Oncology Unit. Furthermore, the position coordinates discharge planning processes.
  
Essential:

• Experience in a Palliative/ Oncology Unit
• Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Effective high level communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills

  
Desirable:

• Tertiary qualifications in a health or management discipline;
• Experience in Discharge Planning;
• Experience in a comparable position; and
• Demonstrated ability to participate in operational management
