What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, working under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to support and provide optimum nursing care in a Mental Health inpatient service and work collaboratively as a member of an inter-disciplinary team. This includes other agencies involved in the provision of ongoing Mental Heath care for example, the primary carer and family members.

Selection Criteria

  1. Current authority to practice as an Enrolled Nurse with Medical Endorsement, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Enrolled Nursing Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
  3. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
  4. An understanding of patient centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload within the scope of practice.
  6. Recent clinical experience relevant to the position, and the ability to administer medications within scope of practice.
  7. Experience or knowledge of working in Mental Health Nursing and / or current Drug and Alcohol withdrawal practices.
