The Activities Officer is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support and provide quality care for patients/clients. The position also ensures the effective and efficient delivery of Resident activities in line with their interests and capabilities. Selection Criteria Certificate III Health Service Assistance OR Current enrolment in Bachelor of Nursing at a recognised education provider and completion of Year 1 of academic and clinical placement studies.Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate with a range of people.Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to use information technology systems.Recent experience working in aged care, with an understanding of confidentiality principles and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to plan and evaluate activities that meet resident capabilities and interests.
