What you'll be doing The Sterilisation Technician is primarily responsible for the preparation, sterilization, storage and thermal disinfection of reusable medical & surgical instruments and equipment to prevent the transmission of infection, working within a large team under general supervision. Selection Criteria Completion of a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services at TAFE, or equivalent.Physically capable of carrying out all duties standing for long periods, lifting pushing and pulling loads, as outlined in the Job Demands Checklist for this role.Ability to follow directions from line management and senior staff and work independently under general supervision.Ability to relate well to others and work effectively as a member of a team.Demonstrated interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.Ability to apply a problem solving approach to work tasks.Licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive occasionally for work purposes.
