What you'll be doing MHDA Declaration Each person’s unique journey of recovery will be supported by mental health drug and alcohol services in a way that fosters hope, purpose and resilience. MHDA Statement of Intention The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration. The Administrative Officer – Medical Workforce and Revenue is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the MHDA Revenue Manager (0.5FTE) and MHDA Medical Workforce Manager (0.5FTE). Working days to support each Manager as per the above allocation will be determined at the commencement of employment. Working days can be interchangeable to enable completion of high priority tasks allocated by either Manager. The outcome of this flexible arrangement is that the incumbent may support one of the Managers more than 0.5 FTE hours in one or more pay periods due to the pressing needs of that Manager. Furthermore it is expected that any episodic or protracted reduction in responsibilities allocated by one Manager will be balanced by an equivalent increase in responsibilities allocated by the other Manager. This arrangement will be reviewed 3 months after commencement of employment and thereafter during annual Performance Development Review. The position will also contribute to the effective and efficient running of the MHDA Directorate by working with the other Administration Officers within MHDA to complete identified tasks that support the function of the unit as a whole. Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them. Relevant training/experience in provision of executive administrative support. Ability to evaluate work practices and apply technology to develop quality administrative procedures to achieve improvement of these practices. Excellent organisational and time management skills, a proven ability to work autonomously under pressure and to prioritise and meet deadlines. Ability to work as a member of an executive management team showing initiative and demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and work in a systematic and accurate capacity. Ability to organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and support executive committee meetings. Excellent communication skills including written and electronic communication skills and proficiency with HealthRoster Database, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, eMR, PBRC and TRIM programs and willingness to learn new computer software as required. Understanding of public health service operations and concepts and requirements of confidentiality and privacy related to health issues.
