Where you'll be working: The South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Mental Health Service provides quality mental health care to residents across south western Sydney. Our services provide assessment and treatment for a range of mental health needs and disorders and our priorities include early intervention and promoting mental health in our community. All SWSLHD Mental Health Service staff are committed to patient safety and quality care. The service maintains current accreditation with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards against its EQuIPNational program and survey against the National Standards for Mental Health Services. What you'll be doing To provide Social Work services to consumers and their carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with SWSLHD policies and procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. The position will also participate in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in a health related field and ability to provide a range of Social Work interventions Demonstrated experience prioritising work and managing stressful situations Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated high level communication skills (written and verbal) and computer skills Evidence of commitment to clinical supervision and professional learning Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to quality processes, and the application of evidenced based practice within social work. A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Need more information?
