Aged Day Services Driver - Carinya Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (Up to 30/06/2020) Position Classification: Driver / General Assist Remuneration: $26.91 - $26.91 Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ54053 Location: Carinya Aged Day Service - Ermington Where you'll be working Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing Aged Day Services (ADS) are part of the Complex, Aged and Chronic Care (CACC) model of care based upon the philosophy of comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and co-ordinated care to ensure that clients with chronic condition or complex care needs are treated and maintained at their optimal level of function and independence in the community. Aged Day Services (ADS) are provided to frail aged people, people with a disability and their carers. ADS provide group programs and activities that assist older people to socialise. These programs help promote health and wellbeing and maximise levels of functional ability and independence of older people and carers living in their community. The Driver/General Assistant is responsible for the safe transportation of frail aged clients between their homes and the Aged day Service and works as a member of the Aged Day Service multidisciplinary team. Essential Criteria: Vaccination Category: B Checks: Aged Care Check License: Currently Holds a drivers license valid in Australia Selection Criteria: Relevant experience working with older people who are frail and/or have complex care needs. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated effective communication skills Demonstrated effective time management skills Current First Aid Certificate Demonstrated understanding of WH&S principles.
