About the role
We are seeking an experienced Diversional Therapist/Lifestyle Coordinator for a full-time position in North Sydney working with residents requiring memory support.
As part of the broader care team you will work with the care and recreational staff, the residents, their families and other loved ones to compile profiles so that we get to know every resident as a whole person. We believe this is core to supporting each resident's empowerment, dignity and enjoyment.
You will be responsible for developing person-centred and supportive group programs reflecting each resident's unique wellness, spiritual, social, cultural and recreational needs and preferences. You will both implement and guide the care and recreational staff in delivery of the programs.
As part of a vibrant team of recreational, care, nursing and allied health workers focused on achieving best outcomes for residents in all care environments in our village, you will participate in shared learning, continuous improvement and the pursuit of best practice.

Skills and experience
What you need:
- At least 3 years' experience as Diversional Therapy and/or Lifestyle Coordinator role in an aged care service
- Diploma qualification in Diversional Therapy or Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
- A current police check
- Drivers Licence is a must
- A commitment to contributing to quality, active living experience for residents
- Energetic and innovative approach to planning and delivering activities that support the wellness, spiritual, social, cultural and recreational needs of residents
- Ability to use web-based client information system and email and Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written skills to confidently interact with residents, families and staff.
