This is your chance to work within the health sector for a unique Federal Government Agency based in the heart of the CBD. This role will see you travel extensively to meet the demands of the position so flexibility is a must!

Working within their Clinical Partnerships and Insights Team, this position is responsible for developing and delivering an educational program to increase awareness and use and to maximise the benefits of the My Health Record at all levels of the public health system within jurisdictions as well as private hospitals.

This role will be to increase education, awareness, connectivity and use of the My Health Record to ensure a level of provider readiness at the time of implementation of the My Health Record Expansion Programme

The Position

Please note that this is a contract role till December 2018 with a strong likelihood of extension.

Reporting to the Director, this role will see you take responsibility for the following duties:

  • Develope and foster partnerships with key stakeholders within each of the Jurisdictions
  • Work with Public and Private hospitals to identify information and education gaps to enable sound educational support and increase clinical use of the My Health Record;
  • Organise and coordinate Train the Trainer sessions for staff development and medical training units across jurisdictional hospitals to support increased viewing from public hospital staff;
  • Evaluate educational training courses to upskill and educate clinical and non-clinical staff to support patient information needs about My Health Record;
  • Identify champions and lead clinicians who are using My Health Record to understand and identify key issues that will contribute to the development of recommended education strategies;
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and disseminate relevant communication and education collateral;

About You

To be successful you will have the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an education or health discipline (desirable) or relevant work experience.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Recent experience in providing education within Healthcare and or hospitals
  • Experience in collaborating with health clinicians and a demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work within a changing environment with demonstrated skills in flexibility and adaptability to identify and recommend solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience at working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute project deliverables in a high-pressure environment
