The Intake Officer has a key role in providing clients and other stakeholders with information about mecwacare services. The Intake Officer is responsible for managing referrals via the My Aged Care (MAC) portal and responding promptly to all enquiries and referrals. The position will ensure a responsive and proactive intake service and excellent customer service to grow mecwacare’s client base.
 
To be successful in this role you will have:
 
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in administrative tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Windows computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, Carelink Plus, MAC portal and data base programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
 
Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications in a health-related discipline, or other qualification with relevant experience in community or aged care service provision
  • EEN/RNs favourably considered
  • Knowledge and experience in a range of funded programs e.g. Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP),Home and Community Care (HACC),
  • Sound knowledge of community service principles and processes
