We currently have an opportunity for an Educator & Project Consultant to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Strategy & Development your role is primarily responsible for project coordination for Allity's external research and academic projects as well as delivery of standardised clinical education and training programs. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating delivery of clinical education modules and compiling training materials for face to face and on line education
  • Assisting in the research data collection and implementation of the training program for external projects including Allity's innovative IMPETUS-D program
  • Researching and reviewing latest clinical practices
  • Liaise with external research and/or academic institutions for the purposes of supporting project objectives.
  • Coaching & supporting clinical staff
  • Delivers a standard, comprehensive orientation and induction program for all new clinical employees
  • Coordinates delivery of non-clinical education and training, including system oriented training (TRAX).

Qualifications Required:

  • Registered Nurse (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Care/Clinical/Management/Clinical Leadership Qualifications (desirable)
  • Driving licence & own car

Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • Substantial knowledge of Aged Care regulatory requirements
  • Excellent clinical knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering creative training
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Coaching and leadership skills
  • Team leadership skills and ability to work interdependently in a challenging environment
  • Demonstrated experience in an Aged Care environment;
  • Excellent communication style - able to communicate effectively with residents and their families including people from CALD backgrounds;
  • Current valid criminal record check and statutory declaration as appropriate;
  • Intermediate computer skills;
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service and person-centred care;
  • Motivated and able to take initiative;

This role will be based in our Walkerville office however time will also be spent offsite delivering training at Allity home locations across SA. Occasional interstate travel may be required.
