Part-time Laboratory Assistant required for our busy Midland Laboratory, servicing the St John of God Midland public and private hospital with a busy ED department.

The successful applicant must be able to work on a 7 day week rotating roster as the laboratories operate 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

In this role you will conduct a range of diagnostic testing that requires the applications of laboratory knowledge and skills.

This position involves working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for an individual who prides themselves in the level of accuracy in their work.  The successful applicant will have previous clinical laboratory experience in a multi-disciplined role including haematology, biochemistry and microbiology.

To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques

• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and experience working in a fast pace environment
• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
• Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team
