Urban Psychology is a growing and dynamic organisation that is dedicated to forensic assessment, intervention and consultation services. Our psychologists work across a range of forensic settings and are committed to providing the highest quality clinical services to the forensic clients which present the greatest risk in our communities. Our objective is to support forensic clients to make the personal changes necessary to live an offence-free lifestyle. We have a well-established team of full time and part time staff as well as a number of sub-contractors. The role
Urban Psychology seeks two experienced fully registered psychologists who have current or recent experience working with forensic or mandated clients. The role is diverse, challenging and most importantly rewarding. Previous experience within the criminal justice system is highly desirable. You will be responsible for providing forensic assessments as well as individual or group-based interventions across the state. We provide services in metropolitan Melbourne as well as regional areas – so a willingness to travel is also very important. Flexible options available, including full time and part time contracts, work from home options and fee for service sub-contracting.

Our psychologists are able to work from home 1-2 days per week, or they can work from our offices in Ringwood with an amazing team. They will also have use of business vehicles when required. We fund professional development, external supervision, and professional registration fees for full time and part time staff. Given the teams extensive experience, successful candidates have unlimited access to peer consultation and clinical mentoring!
The requisites
- Full Registration with the Psychologists' Registration Board of Australia.
- Recent experience in a forensic or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of the current psychological approaches in forensic psychology.
- Highly professional, organised and reliable with amazing time management skills.
- Works effective autonomously and as part of a team environment.
- A person who is motivated, passionate and driven to provide high quality services.
- Driver's licence and a National Police Check will be required for the role.
