Registered Nurse, Mental Health - Grade 2

80 hours per fortnight Full-Time position

A Job to Be Proud Of:

  • Provide a full range of assessments and interventions support to consumers
  • Work collaboratively with staff on the unit and community based clinical teams, to ensure continuity of care for consumers, families, dependent children and carers
  • Liaise with key partners & promote positive relationships amongst stakeholders
  • Participate in clinical supervision and seek support, advice, training, debriefing as required
  • Provide professional supervision to junior nursing staff and students, as appropriate

Your Contribution:

  • Experienced in the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions for consumers
  • Relevant knowledge and skills in the principles and practice of working with people with a psychiatric disorder or disability, and their carers, families, and dependent children.
  • Commitment to integrated family and culturally and gender sensitive practice approaches.
  • Well-developed writing skills and an ability to promptly prepare case assessments, clinical notes, reports, plans and other forms of documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and senior staff, agency workers and other service providers.
  • Well-developed verbal and written skills enabling documentation preparation in a timely manner
