Position Summary
The Operations Director Sub Acute is an integral part of the senior Executive of Peninsula Health and in partnership with the Clinical Director Sub Acute Services is accountable for the provision of Sub-Acute Services at Peninsula Health. This position facilitates sound corporate and clinical governance for Sub-Acute Services and is responsible for performance against budgets, targets and key performance indicators.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience, broadening your strategic leadership focus through management of the Sub-Acute Cluster service delivery and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership for the range of Sub-Acute Services within Peninsula Health.
• Work closely with the Clinical Director Sub-Acute Services to ensure the Service provides the highest quality of care, is person-centred, works at maximum efficiency and within established budgets to meet patient demand.
• Provide Services that are timely, accessible and equitable.
• Provide systems and processes for ensuring quality clinical governance.
• Ensure service integration across Peninsula Health and its catchment area.
• Facilitate a culture of development, learning and teaching to proactively improve practice and process.
• Be responsible for updating personal development in relation to current best practice relating to clinical processes and human resource and leadership practices.
• Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, Enterprise Agreements and relevant workplace legislation.
• Demonstrates positive workplace behaviors and relationships at all times.


Essential Criteria
• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration or other relevant health qualification.
• Extensive experience in the management and provision of Sub Acute Services or similar clinical/health services.
• Demonstrated expertise and achievements in the management of human and financial resources at a senior level.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of relevant Government Acts and Frameworks.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a senior management Team.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic planning skills.
• Strong Leadership skills.
• Extensive operational experience in Public Health.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary service delivery framework.
