Critical Care Registered Nurses
ICU / Oxley Ward
RN Grade 2 (YP3-YP11)
Permanent / Fixed Term /Casual - Full / Part Time positions available
We are seeking Critical Care experienced Registered Nurses to join our professional team. These positions are now available and include working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster.
The primary purpose of this position is to undertake clinical patient care related activities in accordance with educational preparation and level of competence to achieve and maintain the standard of patient care in line with the policies and objectives of Wimmera Health Care group.
Overview: Wimmera Health Care Group is a leading rural health service providing acute, subacute, primary and residential care in the Grampians region of Victoria.
Located 300kms northwest of Melbourne, WHCG is the subregional, acute referral hospital for the Wimmera region and provides a wide range of specialist services.
Acute services are situated at Horsham (incorporating Operating Suites, Emergency Department, Intensive/Critical Care Unit, Day Oncology, Obstetrics, Level 2 Nursery, Paediatric and Adult Medical and Surgical Services) with some acute beds located at Dimboola.
The ICU is a 5 bed unit providing coronary and intensive care facilities to treat a range of cardiac, respiratory and other conditions and is incorporated within the 29 bed Acute Medical/Surgical Unit (Oxley Ward) ( Total =34 beds)
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Post Graduate/Certificate qualifications in critical care.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and superior customer service
- Proficiency in the use of information technology
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and superior customer service
- Proficiency in the use of information technology
- Current police check
- Working with Children Check
- Recent critical care experience
