About the business

Thrive Therapy and Consulting Services is a newly opened occupational therapy and mental health service for children and families.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our friendly supportive team based at our Gosnells Practice. Part-time or casual hours are available working an average of 2-3 days per week. Flexibility of hours is highly desirable. Candidates with availability to work Saturday hours will be highly considered

About the role

Specific Duties include:

  • Performance of all reception duties including (but not limited to)
    • Making client bookings
    • Client record data entry
    • Greeting of clients on arrival of appointment
    • General client customer service care
  • Medicare and Private billing and banking;
  • Assistance with patient flow
  • Communication with other Medical Centre staff in relation to services offered
  • Work in accordance with all Company policies including OH&S
  • Day to day problem solving
  • Management of clinician's diaries
  • General house- keeping and tidy up

    Skills and experience

    Essential Criteria:

    • Demonstrated skills in customer service;
    • Strong organisational skills;
    • Excellent communication skills and telephone skills;
    • Demonstrated abilities in dealing with difficult people in a complex environment;
    • Ability to prioritise busy workload;
    • Capable of working independently and in a team;
    • Strong administrative and analytical skills but also has high initiative and motivation
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    Desirable:

    • Marketing Knowledge: Capacity to advertise on Facebook and Instagram
    • Knowledge of Power Diary Booking System
    • Knowledge of Funding: Medicare,  Fachsia and NDIS (Government funding)
    • Capacity to create flyers and marjeing materials using  Canva or Adobe Pro.
