About Primary Health Tasmania

Primary Health Tasmania is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation working to connect care and keep Tasmanians well and out of hospital. We are one of 31 primary health networks (PHNs) established nationally on 1 July 2015 as part of the Australian Government’s Primary Health Networks program.

Primary Health Tasmania operates statewide with offices in Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone and have strong relationships with a broad range of private, public and community sector organisations across primary, acute, aged and social care. This puts us in good stead in our push for a coordinated, primary care-focused health system delivering the right care in the right place at the right time by the right people.

We are searching for a ‘Advisor – Health Service Solutions’ which is really an experienced contract coordinator who is capable of planning and preparing commissioning/contract specifications, as well as the implementation and mobilisation of services across health projects within a commissioning/contracting environment.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience with contract preparation and implementation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • the ability to engage and maintain relationships with service providers and stakeholders
  • capacity to work effectively as part of a project team across multiple project areas at the same time
  • a background in health and community sectors would be well regarded

On a personal level - you will be successful if you:

  • are adaptable and resilient and happy to go the extra mile
  • have strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • are happy to travel if required (intrastate and interstate)
  • are personable, and approachable with a sense of humour
  • have a collaborative and consultative style
  • share our values and understand that professionalism needs to be instinctive.

What would you be doing?

You would be working on mutiple contracts, contributing to the service implementation and success of our commissioning services and ultimately to better health outcomes for Tasmanians.

There is an attractive salary package on offer, including the ability to salary package.

If you think you can successfully achieve all of these objectives and have what it takes to make a huge difference to the Health of Tasmanians now and into the future…..please contact Mark Broxton, General Manager – Health Service Solutions on phone 03 6341 8700.
