Scope has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Grade 1 or 2 Occupational Therapist, preferably with experience in disability, to work within our North Metro team supporting early years and school aged clients. The position will be located at service and community outlets across Glenroy, Craigieburn and Northern suburbs.

The position is available due to Scope’s position as a large, highly regarded provider of quality services who is experiencing large growth in demand for services under NDIS.

You will:

  • Provide therapy services to customers on a needs basis whilst building on people’s strengths and developing sustainable long term solutions
  • Liaise with customers, family members, funding bodies and other service providers to assist our clients to reach their individual outcomes and goals
  • Support customers and others to develop skills and reach their potential, ensuring goals are meaningful and achievable.
  • Provide information to customers, families and stakeholders which supports people with a disability to live as equal and empowered citizens.

About you:

  • Have experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with experience in disability

  • You are committed to family and person centred approaches, supporting inclusion and participation
  • Registration with AHPRA (mandatory) and a member of your professional association (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Have relevant experience in disability and/or community services (preferred)
  • Have a driver’s licence (work vehicles may be available); and
  • Required to hold a satisfactory Police Check issued within the last twelve months for employment in disability and a Working with Children Check.
