Scope has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Psychologist (full registration required) to work within our North division Therapy team (early years and school age). The position will be located at service and community outlets across Glenroy, Craigieburn and Northern suburbs.

The position is available due to Scope’s position as a large, highly regarded provider of quality services who is experiencing large growth in demand for services.

 In this role you will:

  • Work as part of an inter-disciplinary team focusing on supporting people with behaviours of concern
  • Provide services to customers on a needs basis, building on people’s strengths and developing sustainable long term solutions
  • Liaise with customers, family members, funding bodies and other service providers to assist our clients to reach their individual outcomes and goals
  • Support customers and others to develop and review individual learning plans, ensuring goals are meaningful, meet the needs of the individual and reflect their individual goals
  • Provide current information to customers around valuable services to maximise their ability to make informed choices
  • Have an opportunity to extend and develop your professional skills and partake in innovative projects and research of the team

About you:

  • You are committed to family and person centred approaches, supporting inclusion and participation;
  • Registered with AHPRA and a full member (not provisional) of your professional association (mandatory)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Have relevant experience in disability and/or paediatrics (preferred)
  • Have a driver’s licence
  • Successful applicants will be required to hold a satisfactory Police Check issued within the last twelve months for employment in disability and a Working with Children Check.
