Waratah provides free, confidential, professional and specialised Trauma Informed Therapeutic intervention, counselling, services for those who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse and/or family domestic violence. The service includes 24/7 crisis response intervention as well as individual counselling, telephone counselling, therapeutic group support, education and training for professionals, and organisational development.

SELECTION CRITERIA (essential requirement)
- University Tertiary Degree Qualifications in psychology, social work, behavioural science or human services field.
- Well-developed personal and professional boundaries, personal resiliency and professional compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Demonstrated previous experience and or willingness to be trained to provide counselling, support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and family, domestic violence & group work.
- Knowledge and skills to ensure the provision of Trauma Informed, culturally, gender and age appropriate services to clients.
- Availability to participate in the 24/7 on call - Sexual Assault Crisis Response roster which includes evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to formulate care plans, work independently, as well as seeking support and consultation where appropriate.
- High degree of computer literacy, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
