Within our Health Division our organisation offers high quality non-clinical support services with a focus to provide positive patient experiences. We have new and exciting opportunities for Central Sterilising & Supply Department (CSSD) Managers to manage daily operations for our Health Contracts in South Australia. The role would suit an energetic and extremely motivated professional to drive our service excellence culture.

 

As a CSSD Manager you will be responsible for the supervision, administration and quality assurance of the operation and functions of the CSSD. Resulting in a timely, cost efficient, and contamination free sterilizing service, which meets Australian Standards. You will be required to maintain current knowledge of CSSD industry best practice through the attendance of conferences, participation in innovation forums and any other practical means.

 

Experienced candidates will be considered if they have the following skills:

  • Previous management experience in a similar role ideally within a large health care facility
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology or other post graduate Sterilisation or Infection Control certification.
  • Engaging communication style with high level interpersonal skills
  • Set an example of collaborative leadership and team
  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in CSSD and Infection Control.
  • Ability to occasionally participate in all rostered shifts to meet unit service requirements and monitoring of staff skills.  
  • Experience and knowledge of equitable rostering practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, organisational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work within a team structure, including advanced communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in working with and caring for people
  • Working knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations
