About Perioperative Services

 

The Operating Suite at Peter Mac provides cancer specific care for our patients ranging from endoscopic surgical procedures through to specialised robotic surgery and very complex multi-speciality cases.  Due to increasing patient acuity, we are opening 2 Extended Recovery beds within our existing PACU to provide care 24 hours/5 days a week. This specialised care is targeted at surgical patients who require longer than standard postoperative care.

 

Your role in our future.

 

We are seeking highly motivated ANUMs in Recovery and High Acuity Nursing to join our perioperative team to work in our friendly and supportive organisation.

 

The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:

• Non-invasive ventilation
• Low dose inotrope infusion
• Ability to read and interpret blood gases and ECG’s
• Pain management
• Excellent prioritisation and problem solving skills
