With 738 licensed beds, Hollywood Private Hospital is the State’s largest private hospital based on bed numbers. The hospital employs over 2,000 people and has more than 700 accredited specialists working across a wide range of disciplines including cardiology, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedics, palliative care, psychiatry, rehabilitation and urology.
In response to an increase in demand for Hollywood Private Hospital’s services, owner Ramsay Health Care recently invested over $70 million in major infrastructure developments at the hospital. The centrepiece of this development is a new wing which houses six additional state-of-the-art operating theatres, three new 30 bed wards and a new kitchen.

Position Profile
The successful applicant will be responsible for food preparation and ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production, whilst ensuring cleanliness within the department in line with required HACCP standards and Hospital policy.
Essential Criteria
- Trade Certificate III in catering/ cooking or HACCP training certificate
- Food hygiene certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a large scale food preparation environment
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Commitment to excellence in preparation and support of food services
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a similar role within the health care industry
