You will provide comprehensive CMR imaging across the Southern Adelaide region, and may provide outreach services to country South Australia and the Northern Territory. Ensuring the provision of high quality professional medical care, you will perform a range of cardiac magnetic resonance services including congenital imaging, stress imaging and cardiomyopathy imaging. You will ensure the timely documentation of the assessment, management and treatment of patients in patients’ medical records, and engage in timely communication with other health care professionals such as GPs. As part of your role, you will be responsible for the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, and be involved in professional and community services activities. You may also assist with research activities as specified by the Unit Head or Director, Division of Medicine, Cardiac and Critical Care Services by conducting Cardiology research and collaborating with other units within the hospital and other cardiology units. Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital providing medical services for the southern population of Adelaide and major regional rural centres. The flagship hospital for southern Adelaide, FMC has recently undergone an exciting period of redevelopment, with $185 million invested in new, state-of-the-art health facilities.
Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. With experience in all cardiac investigations including ECG reporting and Holter monitor reporting, you will have worked before within a public teaching hospital. You will work well as part of a team and bring the ability to prioritise care and liaise with a diverse range of staff and patients in a consultative and sensitive manner.
