An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic full-time experienced Health Information Manager to join the team within Healthscope in NSW/ACT.
The Health Information Services within our hospitals work closely with other clinical and administrative areas providing a great opportunity to develop rewarding working relationships expand your skills and make a contribution to the overall success of our hospitals.
Healthscope operate 12 hospitals within in NSW/ACT alone, with Northern Beaches Hospital also due to open in October 2018.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for optimizing revenue accuracy across NSW/ACT Acute Hospitals via management of best practice processes.
- To work with the State HIM, Hospital GMs, plus the site based HIM, Coding, CDS team to ensure hospital case-mix teams to establish, and maintain best practice process in revenue optimisation.
- Provision of monthly revenue optimisation reporting to the State Manager Hospitals (SM).
- Organisation of optimisation audits and feedback of results and recommendation on actions to support better revenue capture reported to SM, GM and State HIM.
- To support NSW/ACT hospitals in coding support for planned and unplanned leave.
The Hills Private Hospital is a 111-bed private hospital located in the Hills District of Sydney.
The hospital offers inpatient and day programs in orthopaedics, neurological, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation as well as treatment programs for mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis intervention, substance abuse and eating disorders.
Essential:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent or Clinical Coding qualifications from HIMAA or equivalent
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proven coding experience with detailed knowledge of ICD-10-AM
- Detailed knowledge and experience in managing a hospitals revenue management processes.
- Confidence to work in team environment or individually with the confidence across a portfolio of hospitals.
