Digital Health Officer - General

Part time, fixed term to 30 June 2019,

(subject to funding).

 

We are currently seeking a Digital Health Officer - General in a part time (0.8 FTE 30.4 hours per week) capacity, located in our Bairnsdale office. This position will support the Coordinator Regional Services to implement identified digital health solutions to increase system efficiencies and equity of access to primary care, including but not limited to general practice, pharmacy and allied health across the region.

There will also be a reliance to engage with secondary care providers, in particular medical specialists, to support them in the implementation of change and adoption activities for digital health. The Digital Health Officer – General works within a multidisciplinary team providing support, monitoring and delivery of key digital health and system integration projects and activities.

 

Our ideal applicants will have:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or 3-5 years relevant experience in health sector such as health information management;
  • Knowledge and experience implementing digital health solutions;
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple projects and tasks;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • An understanding of the privacy requirements and the sensitivities of working with health information and dealing with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner;
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of practice software;
  • Sound analytical, verbal and written communication and time management skills;
  • High level skills in Microsoft Office; and
  • Demonstrated experience in working in and contributing to a team environment.
