Practice Nurse Role:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Nurse who is confident in managing a treatment room and chronic care of patients within a busy, multi-faceted Skin Cancer Practice and General Practice. The ideal candidate will be positive, a strong team player, and most importantly, patient focused. We are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running and must have passion for general practice, childhood development, immunisation, chronic care and wound care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Immunisations
· Wound Care
· Assisting doctors with surgical procedures
· Triage and Assessment of clients
· Participation in Quality and Infection Control Activities
· Mentor of students from time to time in their clinical placements.
The ideal candidate:
· AHPRA registration and recent experience in general practice nursing
· Immunisation endorsed
· Experience with all types of care plans and health assessments, healthy kids checks, GPMP, etc, desirable
· Experience in venepuncture, triaging skills and experience in Chronic Disease Management, desirable
· Good computer skills
· Flexible working hours to accomodate with the existing roster
· Knowledge of Best Practice software
