The department
The Haematology Clinical Research Unit conducts trials for a diverse group of patients and runs investigator-initiated studies and sponsored trials.
Laboratory Assistants are an important part of this large dedicated team and are involved in the implementation of clinical trials and research for malignant haematologic disorders, haemophilia, and other coagulation abnormalities.
The role
In this position, you will assist with the preparation of trial specimens for sendaways, perform research tasks such as preparing cell pellets and DNA samples. You will also be responsible for performing general laboratory duties of QC and cleaning, along with maintaining the databases and files.
Previous Pathology or laboratory experience is essential, along with intermediate skills in MS Office ( Excel).
