About the business
Presmed Australia is a leading healthcare company that specializes in the establishment and management of surgical day hospitals. Our centres provide standards of excellence in Opthalmic and ENT surgery, operating room technologies and day hospital environments. The group is comprised of five centres - Chatswood Private Hospital, Epping Surgery Centre, Madison Day Surgery, Central Coast Day Hospital and Coffs Day Hospital.
About the role
We are currently offering full time, part time and casual administration opportunities across our Sydney based centres in Chatswood, Epping and Hornsby. These are varied positions where no two days are the same. Shift times cover Monday to Friday, between 6am and 8pm, with excellent working conditions and attractive remuneration.
Our ideal candidate is mature, considerate, with the ability to manage their own workload and work unsupervised.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Duties include:
- Liaising with nursing staff, medical officers and their consulting rooms
- Checking patients financial eligibility and consents prior to admission
- Administrative admission and discharge of patients on the day of surgery
- Timely data entry of patient details and the generation of medical records
- Varied duties on a day to day basis
Skills and experience
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Competent reception / administration skills within the healthcare field.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of MS office and/or patient administration systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A considerate and appropriate attitude
- Display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Availability to fill various shifts covering hours from 6am to 8pm, Monday to Friday
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a hospital/medical environment
- Experience in SIMDAY
A current 'Working with Children check' is required for this position.
