We are currently recruiting for Medical Affairs Associate for our client with strong communication cross-functional, leadership and technical skills to be a successful member of a dynamic team. As a Medical Affairs Associate, you will be responsible for:

Responsabilities:

  • Considered a highly experienced and scientifically astute resource within the organisation for medical activities of relevant therapeutic areas
  • Provide scientific expertise within the company. Actively participate in, and give advice on, business development activities and projects, including product opportunity evaluations
  • Provide guidance on and input into the development of promotional materials. Review and, as necessary, defend all promotional material in compliance with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and other relevant requirements
  • Deliver the medical and scientific components of training for new and existing employees
  • Develop and maintain relations with key opinion-leaders. Participate as required at Advisory Boards
  • Monitor literature in  key therapeutic areas and prepare clinical summaries for key papers as agreed with Marketing
  • Prepare scientific summary documents (e.g. formulary submissions) as required
  • Provide cross-functional support within the organisation, ensuring highly effective communication with Marketing, within Scientific & Medical Affairs, and with other functions in the company
  • Manage clinical research programmes and activities, as required, ensuring timely outcomes in line with the company’s needs and ensure compliance with applicable legislation
  • Plan and control expenditure, ensuring cost-efficiency and focus on controllable expenses
  • Ensure optimum liaison and communication at all levels with and when appropriate with sister company’s scientific/medical departments and with distributors
  • Answer medical enquiries and customer complaints, as required, and participate in the company adverse event reporting process, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Complete, or assist with, other tasks, as required by Senior Medical Affairs Manager or Medical Director
  • Supports investigator initiated studies and other local research and ensures that proposals are aligned with medical objectives within the company locally and globally
  • Complies with all R&D regulations, GCP, the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, company policies and procedures and all relevant laws and regulations

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of pharmaceutical experience, working in compliance.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or Business
  • Strong knowledge of GCP and MA code
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation, including the ability to successfully build a network with international colleagues
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • The candidate will have exceptional attention to detail.
