ANUM – Broadmeadows Surgical Centre
The Broadmeadows Surgical Centre (B SC) is a progressive and changing department within Northern Health. In 2017 works were completed on the redevelopment of the department, creating state of the art, integrated operating theatres. The new theatres collocate beside existing theatres, creating efficiency and flow within the peri operative environment, whilst maintaining all recommended Standards.
The new ultra-modern facility comprises of 4 spacious, integrated theatres, and endoscopy suites. The state of the art PACU is centrally located and architecturally designed to meet the demands of this busy department.
Strategic spending has provided an abundance of equipment and fixtures that support the efficiency and capabilities of the Department.
The hours of opening are Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm.
Clinical areas are closely monitored to ensure on time finishes, contributing to minimal overtime and optimal work/life balance.
The B SC has a strong focus on education and is supported by two Clinical Support Nurse. Further education such as Peri Operative STEP programmes are offered at this campus and Post Graduate Studies at the Northern Hospital.
Experienced Peri Operative nurses are invited to apply and join our enthusiastic and experienced Team.
This well supported position offers the opportunity to develop skills and autonomy associated with management and leadership of peri operative nurses, as well as contributing to the changing direction of the Department.
