An opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist position within the GV Health Department of Psychiatry (Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service). The Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for the clinical leadership of the team within the Adult Program to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical services.
This position reports to the Clinical Director of the Adult Program of Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service (GVAMHS). The key challenge for the role is to develop the team to provide a high quality, integrated and seamless service to the clients of GVAMHS. The role is distributed across community, inpatient, Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) and Specialist Residential Rehabilitation Program (SRRP) to provide the seamless continuity of care to the clients of GVAMHS. This will involve promoting relationships between the Adult program and other groups such as other departments in GVH, Mental Illness Fellowship (MIF) and other agencies.
The successful applicant will have current registration with AHPRA and be either a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent, i.e., be eligible to register through Specialist pathway.
