Our practice is situated overlooking the picturesque Rymill Park. We are a specialist Oral Maxillofacial practice. Dr Glen Carter has recently joined our practice and to complement our growth we are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for the position of Patient Liaison Officer.
We welcome applications from candidates who are looking for a permanent full time role working a 40 hour week Monday to Friday (no weekend work). Roster times will vary from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Preference will be given to experienced Dental Assistants who understand the importance of corporate presentation and excellent customer service.
The role entails working closely with our six oral maxillofacial surgeons, assisting with all administrative responsibilities, surgical bookings and preparing theatre lists. You will liaise directly with our patients, referring Dentists, Anaesthetists and Private Hospitals coordinating every aspect of the patients’ surgical requirements. This highly regarded position will suit a professional who is proactive and outstanding in their field.
Skills & Knowledge
- Dental Assisting qualifications – preferred, however, experience in a specialist surgical practice would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven experience working with patients and offering a high quality of patient care throughout the patient journey
- Implant system knowledge would be advantageous
- Above average computer skills
- Maintenance of medical records in accordance with our policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task within a fast paced working environment
- Self- motivated and willing to work as part of a team
