Institute of Health & Management (IHM) specialises in the development and provision of quality postgraduate higher education courses for nurses, drawing on the expertise of experienced nursing academics and clinicians, combined with professional staff with specialist expertise in online teaching and learning. IHM is now seeking experienced Nurse Educators/Lecturers to join our team in Rosanna.
Nurse Educator/Lecturer will provide academic leadership in implementing a specific unit of study at IHM. Duties include, facilitating student learning through online and face to face teaching and learning activities, marking of assessment and facilitating communication. They liaise with students, support staff, other educators and report to the relevant Course Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach, assist and mentor students to facilitate learning;
- Conduct online tutorials;
- Implement teaching materials and strategies;
- Provide input into the development of new teaching materials;
- Tutor students as needed through discussion forums, online chat and other communication channels, both individually and in groups;
- Mark and evaluate assessment tasks and provide feedback to students;
- Moderate and facilitate online discussion through forum pages and group chat;
- Refer students to personal and academic support services relevant to their needs;
- Monitor learning and identify students requiring support.
Essential Criteria:
- AQF9 (Masters) or above qualification in Nursing;
- Clinical experience in atleast one of the nursing specialities:
- Neonatal/Paediatric/Acute Care/Critical Care Nursing;
- Current Registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse Div1
- Previous experience in a related role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer literacy.
