Head of Ultrasound
- Working at 2 practices within Macquarie University Hospital and Macquarie Shopping Centre
- Full Time Hours
- Cannon i-series 600 / GE Logic 9 / Siemens Helx
Due to significant growth a Head of Ultrasound is now required for work at practice based on Ground Floor Macquarie University Hospital and/or Macquarie Shopping Centre.
You will be exposed to a research environment with multi learning opportunities in specialised areas.

The Role:
- Workload – variety of scans – General / MSK / Small Parts / Vascular / Interventional Procedures;
- Manage 7 ultrasound rooms
- Managing Calendar
- Rostering
- Approvals – leave / timesheets
- Updating protocols
- Training schedule for Sonographers
- Upskilling of Sonographers
Requirements:
- Hold a qualification in Medical Sonography;
- ASAR accreditation;
- Demonstrated ability to perform high quality ultrasound examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above;
- Demonstrated understanding of customer service and quality assurance principles;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and non-medical personnel, verbally and in writing;
- Well presented, professional, enthusiastic, hardworking;
- Ability to adapt and respond to change.
