About the Role
Provide strategic leadership of clinical pharmacy support services within the multidisciplinary team and provide professional counsel across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals using expert knowledge, skills and experience. Responsible for the strategic management of a large team and operational delivery of all clinical pharmacy services throughout Logan Hospital and Beaudesert Hospital (LBH). This position is the lead and is accountable for Standard 4 Medication Safety requirements across Logan Hospital and Beaudesert Hospital facilities.
- The position will have both clinical and educational aspects as well as demonstrating a high level of managerial responsibility and highly developed clinical skills in several areas across large multidisciplinary teams. The professional focus may involve alignment across several clinical specialities and Hospitals of the Logan – Beaudesert Facilities including Palen Creek Correctional Facility and community services.
- Apply expertise to solve large-scale and/or complex clinical service or work-flow issues.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services for an appropriate clinical case load in area of clinical expertise using advanced proficiency in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice.
- Provide authoritative counsel in matters relating to clinical pharmacy support services to stakeholders both within LBH and across the district and state.
- Facilitate staff development, including performance appraisal using appropriate tools (e.g. the SHPA clinCAT, Advanced Level Framework (ALF) +/- Pharmacist AACP).
- Commit to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by designing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
